Aligning Performance with Sustainability

The ESG Excellence Summit is a leading platform bringing together business leaders, policymakers, investors, and experts to discuss how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices drive sustainable growth and long-term performance.

The first edition of the ESG Excellence Summit will be held on June 8-9, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel in Algiers, Algeria.

The event is designed for corporate leaders, sustainability professionals, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and organizations interested in integrating ESG principles into strategy and operations.

The 2026 edition focuses on the theme "Aligning Performance with Sustainability," in key sectors such as: Energy & Energy Transition, Finance & Insurance, Infrastructure & Construction, Agriculture & Agri-Food Industry, Digital & Technology, Training & Education, Industry & Manufacturing, Mobility & Transport.

The program includes keynotes, expert panels, Immersive & Experiential Workshops, networking sessions, showcases of best practices and ESG Excellence Awards.

ESG practices are increasingly essential for access to finance, regulatory compliance, export competitiveness, and stakeholder trust, especially with emerging international standards such as CSRD, CBAM, GRI, ISSB, and SASB.

The ESG Excellence Awards will recognize organizations and initiatives demonstrating outstanding ESG practices with measurable impact.

The Awards are organized around the three ESG pillars, each recognizing initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact and responsible practices.

Environmental: includes Best Low-Carbon Initiative, Circular Economy Innovation, Responsible Natural Resource Management, and Energy Transition & Renewable Energy.

Social: includes Excellence in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Health, Safety & Working Conditions Policy, Community Engagement & Societal Impact, and Youth & Education Engagement.

Governance: includes Excellence in Corporate Governance, Exemplary Supply Chain Management, Business Transparency & Ethics, and ESG Leadership of the Year.

Examples include installing solar energy to decarbonize operations, launching green finance products for sustainable projects, or deploying digital tools to track and reduce supply-chain environmental impact, etc.

Submitted initiatives will be assessed by an independent jury composed of ESG experts, industry leaders, and academic specialists. Projects will be evaluated based on criteria such as impact, innovation, scalability, governance quality, and alignment with international ESG standards.

Companies and institutions can participate as attendees, speakers, partners, or sponsors, contributing to discussions and showcasing their ESG initiatives.
